Creating a Group

Groups are used to sub-divide Categories for different uses. Pieces of Data may belong to a single group, or to many. For instance, Galactic Equipment service many types of Planetary Rover, which belong to a Category. These rovers are grouped into Nuclear and Solar Powered, allowing for dealerships to indicate which type of rover they have repair facilities for.

To create a Group, use the Quick Add Menu, and select the Category to which this group belongs.

Publishing your Group

Once created, ensure that you publish this Group to make it visible to the app.

Group Inspector

Once your groups and categories become populated by data, it can be difficult to see the relationships. For this, there are several tools within Caddify to visualise your data. At the top of each Group record, there is the ‘Group Inspector’ button, which will show you the following screen as relates to your Group:

As seen in these images, the Inspector will show you the items both within and related to this group, to get a better idea of how your data is structured. The Spacesuits related to this group will be indicated as safe for use within this planetary group.
